I can’t speak on the experience of the program itself, but housing was a nightmare. My first night the room they gave me had a pile of garbage in the corner as well as mattresses and bed frames taking up the entire closet. My tv was broken. Then when I decided to leave, I kept getting push back and people intentionally did not speak with me so that they would try and force me to stay longer. They also held my meds for 24 hours and said they’d mail them to me, which they never did.

I've noticed that things have dramatically changed here for the worse in the last few months, so I would consider that before reading older reviews. TL;DR: STEER CLEAR, especially if you're neurodivergent. Note that my experiences are limited to the Chattanooga PHP program as a voluntary patient. I'll begin by saying that the techs in housing were incredibly understanding and supportive, and I met a lot of kind and amazing people here. My therapist was understanding, but I don't know if I can say much about the efficacy of their care. Access to electronics after the first week was appreciated. Unfortunately, that's all the positive things I have to say about Time Wellness. When being admitted, it would be generous to say that I was misinformed about what the program entailed. Among many other things, I was told there was a gym when there was none (working out is a major coping strategy I use to avoid self-harm), and many of the therapies advertised on the admissions call and on the website, such as EMDR and TMS, are unavailable in-house. Otherwise, anything besides talk therapy is very difficult to get access to. While in treatment, sensitive and highly personal information I shared exclusively with my therapist and didn't authorize for release with anyone else was unknowingly shared other members of staff and even contacts outside of the program. As this was not related to SI/SH, this may have constituted a HIPAA violation, which is incredibly serious. I found it deeply uncomfortable that, even as the program was advertised as supportive of autistic patients and self-expression, my neurodivergence was treated as a "problem" that needed fixing by some members of the clinical staff. It should be noted that I was seeking treatment for issues that were entirely unrelated. Despite all of this, the only thing the clinical staff wanted to do was stop me from reclaiming my identity and agency as an autistic person in a way that made them uncomfortable. While dealing with memory loss, I was even manipulated with contradictory and possibly fabricated information that only served to worsen my mental state. These are observations that my family and friends share. I was thankfully able to slowly heal with external support, advocate for myself, and leave against recommendations. However, I can see--and, based on my discussions with other former clients, I have seen--how this approach could traumatize neurodivergent individuals and encourage emotional repression and learned helplessness. Unfortunately, I can't say this issue is unique to this program, and the way neurodivergence is treated in mainstream mental health isn't great, so just be careful. Treatment itself was entirely unhelpful. Group therapy focused on very elementary CBT techniques and a poor understanding of DBT, which all patients are required to attend (even though I was told that attending group sessions wouldn't be a requirement during the admission process). It says a lot that I've taken graduate physics courses that were more engaging than some of the "group therapy" sessions, which were just TED talks and one-sided lectures. While already experiencing burnout and being mostly unmedicated for pretty severe ADHD, I was expected to participate in all group sessions from 7 AM to 4 PM, sitting still and not multitasking; the expectation was to *look* attentive in a way that is harmful to neurodivergent folks. The individual therapists, while generally very understanding, tended to be severely overbooked, and you can expect to be limited to one thirty-minute session each week with little progress being made. There are many other issues I could discuss, such as a lack of privacy, overstimulating environments, struggling to leave treatment, undesirable medications, vaping/smoking everywhere, etc., but I’ll leave it at that for now. I would recommend a full residential program if you're dealing with SI/SH and other outpatient programs or one-on-one therapy otherwise. Good luck.

Amazing place that has created such a welcoming vibe. It is not a cold, clinical " hospital". The staff have experienced what u are going through and they bring compassion, empathy and expert knowledge and understanding of substance abuse, addiction, grief and all kinds of mental health issues. Real human beings and it felt like a supportive & understanding family after just a few visits. If you are looking for a treatment place that cares and gets the challenges that we are facing in this world I would highly recommend checking them out. Thank u to the whole team and bless u all.

Time has poured so much into me. All the staff invested their all in my treatment. I felt seen, heard, valued by not only the staff but my peers. It was perfectly curated to fit my needs. Amy, the director, was not just an extraordinary director, but someone who I felt safe with. She met me with no judgment, kindness, and respect. Rachel, the NP, was absolutely the best medical provider I have encountered in my lifetime. She is so compassionate, understanding, and committed to getting me the medication that truly works for me. She is highly knowledgeable in her field and explained how the medication works in my body. She valued my experience with my medications in the past and worked with me to find what works best for me now. She values hearing me out and understanding that I am the expert on my body. The way she approaches her treatment style is something I have never experienced in any treatment setting. She cared about me and it was shown in her practice. Ana-Maria is the most knowledgeable group facilitator. I always looked forward to her groups, especially CBT. The way she relays information and teaches so effortlessly has been a huge impact on my mental health journey. She always made time for me if I had follow up questions after a group. She would validate me and show kindness and compassion. Truly, Time Wellness cared for me when I couldn’t care for myself. This program changed my life and gave me all the tools and skills I need to move forward in life.

Overall really helpful program and I was there 4 months till completion. It’s hit or miss with some of the therapists and they have a high turnover so you may not be with the same therapist. This program definitely helped me overall but did leave me frustrated some days.

Overall, a good facility and welcoming environment. The van from housing to clinical is a bit too cramped, maybe consider purchasing a larger vehicle to transport patients. Also, the clinical and administrative staff is very heavily overworked. Please hire more staff! Otherwise, I have no complaints!
