This month marks 2 years post discharge from BrightQuest Nashville. First 3 months were the hardest part of my 14 month stay. My psychiatrist and therapists were able to help me get things sorted out as well as adjust to all the changes happening in my life at the time. All everyone wanted to do was leave the program and do something different. I was the same way but family wasn’t happy with letting me off the hook that easy with all that happened outside of the program. Medication management, healthy meals, hydration, peer support, a schedule and slowly seeing the light at the end of the tunnel got me where I am today. I would say I’m fully functional and back to doing normal stable adult things. Full time job, budgeting, secure housing, good relationships with friends and family. Yes stuff did happen when I was there that was shocking but the staff was upfront about it and didn’t hide anything that happened. Bottom line is staff is there to help you and encourage you to stay on track of your goals. Looking back on it. I am beyond thankful for them because they helped me get back on my feet and believed in me. Would recommend this program for any parent or family looking for answers for their loved one. It ain’t easy but the ones who work it and try will succeed.Posted on Google![]()

Save your money and your child. We sent our daughter here for 5 months for $35k a month to have her literally waste her time. If anything she was worst. Treatment facility where clients are sleeping with other clients. Should be shut down.Posted on Google![]()

Thanks for taking my post down somehow, I know I didn't. I dare you to call me again like last time, I'll gladly screen the call & report as spam like what I do to all 615 area code number calls. 3.4 stars is total crap. This place deserves 1 star and the only reason why it seems to be higher is because they got "professionals" to write the reviews and perhaps, getting Google to take down reviews of personal experiences. They gaslight and when you call them out for it they gaslight you about whether/not they've gaslit you...great strategy. For those of you who are unfortunate enough to be addicted to nicotine, STAY AWAY. Why? They are not afraid to take take it away from you as punishment. In fact, they even banned it from everyone (group punishment much?) because one man was requesting vape shares due to the fact that he couldn't afford nicotine. For more on that, see prison tactics designed to encourage snitching. They'd tell parents (including mine) that it's either Brightquest or homelessnes when you'd ask to leave. As a possible result, some clients ended up being homeless upon leaving Brightquest.Posted on Google![]()

Edit: Since someone else mentioned it, two staff had relations with clients over the time that I was there. One was a therapist, and one was a house manager. Both are separate incidents from what the parent of a client mentioned in their review. This program engages in emotional and verbal abuse as well as medical neglect and I still have nightmares about it. I was a resident for about a year and a half, and they kept me manic for the money and told my parents I was doing better while the mania was progressing. Ultimately, they decided I was too far gone to “help”. I got the help I needed from a therapist and a psychiatrist that knew what they were doing after getting out, and now I am the most stable I’ve ever been. They forced me to endure a UTI for about two months. The UTI got so bad that I was bleeding. The only reason I was taken to the doctor was because I was finally able to tell my parents. They also forced me to do Orange Theory as well as other intense fitness despite having a condition called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome that makes the arches of my feet collapse and causes chronic pain throughout my entire body. They refused to accommodate me, and the consequences of not doing it were going into debt by $15. The allowance that you set for your kids ends up going to BrightQuest if they are too depressed to attend group or if they are sick. I was also constantly gaslighted, punished for not being able to control myself even though I was in a manic episode and could not. When I was suicidal, I was told I wasn’t, and when I said I needed to go to the hospital, they said no. I wasn’t the only client this happened to. They also pit clients against each other. For example, we had an activity where a therapist would call out something like “standby a client that you would like to get to know better.” Then it would get more intense and end with stuff like “now stand next to a client who you do not believe represents the BrightQuest community values” or “stand next to a client who you don’t feel safe around”. Also, the way they treat the support staff is horrific. They are given measly pay and are treated like they are nothing, just like many of the clients. The staff who are kind and compassionate either left or “turned bad” in order to keep their jobs. Please do not call me about the review like you did after my fiancé’s review. We don’t want to speak to you, and neither do the other clients who left a one-star review.Posted on Google![]()

Would not recommend this facility. My daughter was apart of the program very briefly and it was none the less, hell. According to her, Staff are not trained or supported very well and I can see how chaos could fluctuate. There was a period of time where the “houses” didn’t have food and they turned a blind eye. She explained that the therapists did minimal work and only cared about the program “structure” in their sessions. I’m honestly aggravated that my husbands family has paid so much money for our daughter to be treated inhumanely and tricked. We feel tricked. She explained the houses are filthy no matter how much them and staff clean. People smoke in the houses, and other clients have relations during the day and nights when program is not running. She told us her staff told her about a client that was having a relationship with staff. This place is disgusting. Who really runs it? Where are the supervisors? I saw a comment down this thread about the place being ran by ex convicts and addicts which aligns with what my daughter has told me and how things get handled. It is blatant what this place is. Do not recommend for 15-40k a month. We will never get that back or the time wasted.
