Amazing place to go all the way around, I have gone here for years, even when they still had the Brentwood office, I have never had a bad experience. Dr. Chambers is amazing. Janie is so invested in helping her patients.Posted on Google![]()

Called looking for Methadone clinic to courtesy dose and Christina said "we are not a methadone clinic ". Ok. "Do you know of any in vicinity?" No ma'am ..is the answer you get with an attitude of I don't want to help you either... Thx for nothing and if I lived here I would not recommend you for recovery. FYI Applegate: people who call you are reaching out for help NOT for your no can do attitude!Posted on Google![]()

I have been a patient of Applegate Recovery for several years. However, an incident that occurred on (01/07/2026) involving a employee named Greta was so serious that it caused significant emotional harm and has fundamentally damaged my trust in Applegate Recovery as an organization. Dr. Chambers prepared a formal letter of recommendation for an urgent child custody hearing scheduled for the following day. Because I was working, I called around 3:00 PM and spoke directly with Greta. She confirmed she had the letter &explicitly stated that this was acceptable and that she would wait for me so I could retrieve the document. I reasonably relied on that assurance.I arrived at 4:27 PM, I met Greta walking down the stairs. She made no attempt to acknowledge me.I stopped her and said I was there to pick up the letter, she stated she wasnt going back upstairs that my “best bet” was to knock on the door to see if someone would let me in— & if there wasnt a answer, that was “my loss.” She walked off. I reminded her she promised to wait so i could pick up the letter needed for custody court the following day. it was a critical legal document. Despite this, she refused to assist me. Retrieving the letter would have required walking a simple flight of stairs, yet she declined and dismissed the situation entirely. This interaction caused severe emotional distress, panic, & very intense anxiety, particularly given that I have a documented extreme anxiety disorder and am actively in treatment. The timing of this incident—on the eve of a high-stakes custody hearing involving a child I have not seen in four years—significantly exacerbated my condition. The emotional harm was immediate, intense, and entirely foreseeable. The situation escalated to the point that the office director overheard the interaction and intervened, ultimately resolving the matter. While I am grateful 4 that intervention, it does not negate the emotional trauma already inflicted. The distress and destabilization I experienced cannot be dismissed or undone. this incident was not caused by Dr. Chambers, my counselor, or the office director. My concern lies with Applegate Recovery’s failure to ensure that front-desk staff—who handle confidential medical records, legal documentation, and highly sensitive patient information—meet basic professional, ethical, and compassionate standards. The conduct displayed was misleading, dismissive, and reckless given the foreseeable emotional and legal consequences. Because I reasonably relied on an employee’s explicit assurance, and because that assurance was then disregarded in a manner that caused documented emotional harm and exacerbation of a diagnosed anxiety disorder, this incident represents a serious breach of administrative responsibility and patient care obligations. Given the severity of the emotional trauma, the measurable impact on my mental health, and the potential legal consequences related to my child custody case, I am requesting compensation for the distress, anxiety, and psychological harm I endured as a direct result of this incident. Compensation is warranted in addition to corrective action and accountability measures—not in place of them. Since the Nashville office acquired the Brentwood location, I have made every effort to adapt to changes. However, incidents such as this demonstrate a troubling decline in professionalism, patient-centered care, and ethical oversight. This review is intended to place Applegate Recovery’s corporate leadership, compliance department, and legal oversight on notice. I expect a formal response acknowledging this incident, outlining corrective measures taken, and addressing the issue of compensation for the harm caused. Failure to address situations of this seriousness undermines patient trust and raises concerns regarding institutional accountability. Recovery environments must prioritize compassion, stability, and ethical conduct—especially for patients managing serious mental health conditions. On this occasion, those obligations were not met.Posted on Google![]()

I have gone to several substance abuse clinics for medically assisted treatment in the past. Applegate was pushed on me by my insurance because they switched providers. Applegate is easily the worst by far that I've ever gone to. They act like they care but that couldn't be for her from the truth. I missed an appointment by mere hours and was told on a Wednesday that I wouldn't be able to be seen until the following Monday. Leaving me without Suboxone for 5 days. Asked for a bridge and was refused. Sadly that wasn't the only negative experience I had with them. The only good person the have is Shannon Cullers the Counselor. Do yourself a favor and don't put yourself in their care. Go to South Nashville Comprehensive Treatment Center instead. They are about 3 blocks away on Harding Place. You'll thank me for that suggestion. I promise!Posted on Google![]()

This for people who have been on narcotics too long, rather legally or not. This place is for people who eventually want to quit narcotics, safety, and be reintroduced back into society as a functional, normal way of living.Posted on Google![]()

This place has gone way down hill. I have been a patient for over 6 years. The Dr’s, Counselors and staff are very nice and I thought that they all actually cared about patients until today’s interactions. Oh and the wait times are getting ridiculous. My last appointment took almost 2 hours. Then today I needed to have a Tele-health visit because my radiator in my car needed replacing. I live over an hour away from my clinic. I have called 4 times since yesterday and still no one has returned my calls. I am always on time for appointments, take meds as prescribed. Don’t cause issues. Today has made me feel very uncared about. *** I wanted to do an edit to say that things have gotten so much better the last few months. I really appreciate the changes they have made and wanted people to know.Posted on Google![]()

They were helpful at first, but there secretary is rude and you never can talk to your Dr or psych there without being hounded by her. But they put me on a narcotic anxiety med for two years but when I couldn't afford to pay the $500 a month it costed for the appt plus meds, they wouldn't write me enough to get me to my appt with another Dr that took my insurance. I've spoke with director and she hasnt been the least bit of help so now I get to look forward to hospitalization. To just think they took an oath to help there patients when obviously money is all they care about. Good luck if you go here and can't afford it before Applegate took over they would help you if you struggled a little on payment as long as it got paid, ever since they took over it's been hell. Please seek help elsewhere I would suggest the ky Applegate at least they try to help you and don't lie to you saying they will up until it's time to helpPosted on Google![]()

I love this place and will continue to come here but the schedule is terrible. Every time I come my appointment is an hour late. If you come late it's a problem wich I understand. We shouldn't have to wait over an hour for an appointment. That's why you have appointmentsPosted on Google![]()
